Although the Hamilton County R3Source does not provide paper shred events, there are some opportunities for residents to take advantage of paper shred events throughout the region.
The following are events and providers of whom we are aware. If you know of additional opportunities, email Susan Schumacher and we will add them to this list.
- Shred-It (formerly Cintas) provides shredding services and one-day events. For a list of upcoming events, contact Shred-it at 301-0505.
- Document Destruction also provides on-site shredding services.
- Royal Document Destruction offers a variety of paper shredding options.
- Contact Shred Nations for paper residential shredding options.
- Office Depot, The UPS Store, and Staples offer shredding for a fee.

One Day Events
We will post your one-day paper shredding event as long as it is open to all of Hamilton County, Ohio residents. Include specific information (date, times, address, location, etc.) and contact information for residents for their questions (phone number, website). Email Susan Schumacher.

Please note that paper shredding events are not conducted by Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District. Contact the organization for more information.

Residential Paper Shredding Event

Maximum per Vehicle - 3-5 Boxes/Bags of Paper
This is an annual event. It is sponsored by the Forest Park Environmental Program and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Phi Psi Omega Chapter, Twenty Cultured Pearls Foundation. All paper/documents will be shredded "off-site." This means paper will be collected, placed in "locked" containers, and then transported to the company's facility where it will then be shredded.
Loveland's Annual One Stop Drop For Recycling
October 2, 2021 | 1 p.m. - 4 p. m. | 600 Loveland-Maderia Road
The annual One Stop Drop is expanding! This year it will be held at two sites and additional items will be accepted. Please read the list of acceptable items carefully. This free event provides an easy way to get rid of reusable/recyclable items that may have been sitting around the house.
As part of the One Stop Drop, Move2Loveland is sponsoring a shredding truck for residential shredding.
McNicholas High School Data Destruction and Paper Shred Event
October 30, 2021 | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. | McNicholas High School parking lot
Protect your identity and your data. Onsite shredding by Document Destruction. COBALT will safely destroy your electronic data with a risk-free guarantee! Acceptable items include: cell phones, tablets, laptops, hard drives, computer towers, desktops with internal hard drives, flash-drives, CD's. Please note: This event is limited to personal data devices only.
Cost to shred: $25 (Max 5 bankers boxes/average size trash bags)
Cost for Electronics: $10 (Max 2 boxes or laundry baskets)
